Prader-Willi Syndrome In The Spotlight
Dear PWSA (USA) members,
We are excited to announce two shows starring two of our PWSA
(USA) families that will give great awareness for Prader-Willi
syndrome!
ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, (scheduled to appear May
9th, 8 PM on ABC). The Starkweather family from Tulsa, OK is getting
a new home, courtesy of thousands of volunteers and ABC's Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition. Amy and Toen Starkweather and their three
sons — Jared, 15, Ryan, 13, and Ethan, 9, PWS — were chosen for the
show from a pool of finalists. Their “Move That Bus” moment was just
one of the many surprises in store for this family. Learn more about

Mystery Diagnosis (aired on March 22nd, 10 PM Eastern on
Discovery Health Channel and will likely repeat). Conor Heybach who
has PWS (on our Adults with PWS Advisory Board) and his parents Sue
and John, who is co-chair of the PWSA (USA) governing board, told
about the 16 years they lived without a diagnosis. You can learn
